Meet Our Team
Pinot Car began our journey in wine tourism in 2010. Ethan Headley is the founding partner and successfully invited his high school friend, Nick Johnson, to quit his day job and join the Pinot Car team. Today, Pinot Car provides personalized and industry-leading service to travelers from all over the world.
Why do we do it? Business partner Nick Johnson says it best: “Each of us fell in love with taking people on a journey through Oregon’s wine country. We get to live in and experience one of the world’s premier wine regions. People come from all over the world to spend their vacations here and make memories with loved ones. Being a part of our guest’s journey is an honor and humbling experience.”
Ethan Headley, Executive Director
Ethan grew in the Willamette Valley and went to school at George Fox University. He has a background in business, and along with many others, has a love for the Oregon wine country. Focusing his customer service and business experience on Pinot Car has helped the company thrive in this beautiful area.
Nick Johnson, Partner
Nick grew up on a small hazelnut farm in the heart of wine country surrounded by young Pinot vines. He watched as the area and the vines grew up alongside him. Nick is proud to be a part of his hometown’s prestigious industry. He continues to live in the area with his wife and two children.
Wine is Our Passion
Each one of us grew up in the area, drove for the company before becoming an owner, and fell in love with what we were doing. We are lucky on all fronts. We get to live in one of the WORLD’S premier wine regions. We GET to make our living in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and get to drive people around, who are on vacation with Family, Friends, loved ones who wanted to come here above any other place. To taste the wine and take in the beauty. They could have chosen to go anywhere, and they chose Oregon. That means they have chosen us to be a part of that. A portion of the memory. We take that to heart. It’s an infectious feeling sharing our passion with others. Ethan and I quit our day jobs to dive head first into this venture. Pinot Car to us means freedom, joy, and fulfillment. The freedom to work for ourselves, in an industry for which we have great passion. Our job is to be ambassadors to the Willamette Valley.
